Dzień 12 – dzisiaj w zasadzie nic nowego. Jedyny fakt godny odnotowania, to zdarzenie na mojej porannej wachcie. Nawiązałem radiową łączność z dużym statkiem idącym na nas kursem kolizyjnym. Poprosiłem o zmianę kursu, bo ja jestem sam na pokładzie, niesiemy duże żagle (genaker) i trudno mi zmienić nasz kierunek. … i statek skręcił.
12e jour – aujourd`hui rien de particulier. Si ce n`est ce qui arriva pendant le quart de Krzysztof tres tot ce matin. Un gros cargo arrivait face a nous, et semblait etre sur la route de collision. Krzysztof l`a appele par VHF et a demande de se pousser, car il etait tout seul sur le pont et qu`on portait le genneker (grande voile a l`avant) et qu`il ne pouvait pas changer de cap lui-meme… et la cargo a devie sa route.
Day 12 – more of the same today. The only excitement occurred during Krzysztof’s early morning watch today. He spotted a large cargo ship heading in our direction on a collision course. He called them on VHF radio and told them to move over “because with the gennaker up and only one man on deck we can’t turn very well…”……and they did.
